Although I was never a photographer, I worked in a wedding photo studio during high school. I assisted the main photographer by handling soft boxes, bags, and helping couples feel at ease during shoots. I also helped with editing and arranging photos in albums, but I rarely took photos myself and never truly felt that was a thing for me.
Fast forward to today—I bought my first camera. For over six months, I considered various options to take macro photos, mostly portraits of my loved ones and print tests of my work. I was initially drawn to Fuji because of their simulation filters, but a dear friend told me he was selling his Canon R6. I chose it because of the great price and the trust of knowing its history. Since I needed a small first lens to test the camera on a trip to Paris just two days later, I went with the RF 35mm.
I have no real photography knowledge. I just watched a few tutorials and went on the trip simply to shoot and see what would come out of it.
Below are a few of my first shots with a real camera, zero edits. Selected out of 600+ shots taken.

These are my first photography shots ever taken, if I disregard playing with film cameras as a kid and smartphone.
I’ll continue playing with the lovely Canon R6. More to come.
